Parelli Natural Horsemanship is a systematic approach to teaching People about Horses (level 1-3) and to teach Horses to be good for people (levels 4-6). I'm currently working on my level 4 and sharing the knowledge I've gained from Pat with other people who are ready to find a better way to be around horses. When you get it right, you and your horse are happy, relaxed and responsive. Love, Language, Leadership and Lightness describes Pat's idea about how the relationship should feel.

We are living in the information age. Never has it been easier to get information without ever leaving the comfort of your own home. The frustration comes in actually getting the same results you see on the Parelli tapes ... particularly when you're dealing with another individual (like your four footed friend!) who isn't able to watch the tapes. Pat Parelli has been teaching horsemanship since 1982 and likes to tell people "I'm an overnight success ... after 20 years!". Pat is a perfectionist and has been refining his program and experimenting with teaching styles and formats for the last 20 years. The Partnership, Harmony and Refinement Packs are the culmination of his findings and his work, enabling people to be more successful and to advance through the levels more quickly than ever before. PNH is teaching people to have savvy about hourses. The instruction is so clear you can now work your way to Level 3 without every actually seeing an Instructor -- though working with an Instructor will provide even more of a headstart.

Studying with an instructor without first checking out the home study packs is like trying to buy a car without first checking out the options and accessories. You'll still come away from the dealer with a vehicle but, with the proper preparation, the process could have taken less time and frustration. By doing your homework you know you'll get the most bang for the buck. It's the same with an Instructor. Think of me as your coach. I'm not going to have all the answers to every question you could ever imagine, nor do you have to follow me around until you finally "get it". Instead, I'm a learning accelerator, helping you get the most from the study you do with the packs. You will learn to understand the lessons at a deeper level.

When I started out, it was difficult to find an instructor in your area ... there just were not many to go around. The Parelli Instructor Program has grown since then but the Instructors still tend to go where there are active groups of natural horsemen. I've spent most of my teaching time in Texas and also branched out into the New England states. I'm interested in providing PNH instruction to new areas where people are studying the packs but don't have ready access to an Instructor -- or who perhaps would like the viewpoint of a different Instructor. Even though we all teach the same system we each still have our own style, personality and specialties.
